Jordan Elliott was ruled out by the 49ers with a knee injury
The San Francisco 49ers added defensive tackle Jordan Elliott to the injury report due to a knee injury. He will not play today against the Tennessee Titans. It’s an injury that happened at some point today, according to the communications team.
Here’s a look at today’s inactives for the 49ers:
RB Jordan James
WR Jordan Watkins
DT Sebastian Valdez
DT Jordan Elliott
LB Tatum Bethune
LB Nick Martin
Despite activating defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez from the practice squad, he will not play today.
As you can see, Christian McCaffrey is not listed anywhere and will play, despite having a back injury and suffering from an illness earlier in the week. We’ll see if Kyle Shanahan lightens the workload for McCaffrey, but that has never been his style. Whenever McCaffrey plays, he’s the workhorse.
The Titans aren’t exactly the most difficult opponent. If there were ever a time to give Brian Robinson a big day at the office, it would be against this defense. It also could mean Brock Purdy throws the ball more. So, we’ll see how it turns out.
