Bayern Munich has official acquired Sportpark Unterhaching, to be owned by Allianz Arena Stadion GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of FC Bayern München AG, from 1 January 2026.
Following vital infrastructure adjustments, Sportpark Unterhaching will be home to all FC Bayern Women's matches and training sessions, and from the 2026/2027 season onwards.
Bayern Women's home matches in the Champions League will be played there, while SpVgg Unterhaching's first team will also continue to play their home games at the ground.
The deal was officially announced this evening via a statement from the German record champions' website – an agreement was already closed to being reached back in late November.
“The acquisition of Sportpark Unterhaching is another milestone in the overall development of our FC Bayern Women. The new sporting home of our women's team will meet UEFA requirements and also satisfy spectator demand in the future.
"In the medium term, Sportpark Unterhaching is to become the new home for the whole of FC Bayern women's football. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Unterhaching's mayor, Wolfgang Panzer, for our very positive and constructive discussions.
“My thanks also go to the president of SpVgg Unterhaching, Manfred Schwabl. Our clubs have been partners for a long time, and this spirit has also characterised the close communication over the past few weeks,” said Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
