🏀Game of the Night

Barrington 65, La Salle 60

A big-time boys basketball game had two big time shots and the Barrington boys basketball team hit them both.

Staring down a loss, Robert Gianfrancesco hit a jumper to send the Eagles to overtime and that's where Ryan Realejo came through clutch with a 3-pointer that propelled Barrington to a 65-60 win over La Salle.

The gym was buzzing for the matchup and the teams put on a show. The Rams - led by All-Stater Nick Tarro - looked ready to pull off the upset over the Eagles, but Gianfrancesco hit an eight-foot baseline jumper at the buzzer to knot the game at the buzzer and force overtime.

Ryan Realejo, Barrington Boys Basketball

It wasn't the second biggest shot of the night. With Barrington trailing 60-59 in the extra session, Realejo buried a 3-pointer with 43 seconds left in overtime to give the Eagles the late lead and the eventual victory. The win keeps the Eagles' record unblemished in this Division I clash with the Rams.

Barrington's CalebSatisfield scored a team-high 20 points, Colin McDermott added 19 points and Ryan Rigamonti had 14 as Barrington improved to an impressive 7-0 in Division I play.

The teams were separated by just a point at the break and the fourth quarter began with Barrington holding a 3-point advantage, but Rams did what they did all night – hang around. Nick Tarro scored a game-high 22 points for La Salle, and Kayleb Ruszczyk drilled five 3-pointers to finish with 15 in the loss.

🏀BOYS BASKETBALL - Division I

Senior guard Eliezer Delbrey helped out with 17 points in the victory for Classical, which had built a strong enough lead to withstand East Providence's late comeback attempt, when EP scored 21 points in the final frame. For the Townies, sophomore forward Jayden Vaz was the high scorer with 16 points. Senior guard Jaydason Barros and junior guard Giovanni Daluz each contributed 9 points each in the loss.
