South Alabama Women’s Tennis announces 2026 schedule

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Jaco Keyser, head coach for the University of South Alabama’s women’s tennis team, announced their 2026 schedule.

The schedule includes 18 matches, six of which will be at home on the Bruce David Lubel Memorial tennis courts.

The Jags will kick off the season Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. as they host Southern University in Baton Rouge. A few days later, on Jan. 28, the team will play a midweek matchup against West Alabama.

The Jags will have a half-and-half month in February, hosting three teams and traveling to three.

At home, the Jags will face West Florida on Feb. 7, Samford on Feb. 27, and Tulane on Feb. 28. They will travel to meet Alabama State on Feb. 1, followed by Northwestern on Feb. 20 and Tarleton State on Feb. 21.

Conference play will begin March 8 when the Jags host Georgia Southern for their only home game that month. The rest of the month will see the team travel, facing North Florida on March 4, Florida Gulf Coast on March 5, Arkansas State on March 10, and Texas State on March 11.

The Sun Belt Conference Championship will be April 23-26 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga., where the Jags will look to secure their first conference championship since the 2021-2022 season.
