‘They are game-changers’ – Real Oviedo goalkeeper wary of Barcelona duo

“We know how difficult the match will be.”

Real Oviedo goalkeeper Aarón Escandell admits he’s wary of the threat offered by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Barcelona.

The two teams meet at the Camp Nou on Sunday afternoon, with Yamal set to return to the starting XI after missing the midweek win at Slavia Prague due to suspension.

Escandell faced the media to discuss the match and described Yamal and Raphinha as “two daggers, two very unpredictable players” and admitted he’s expecting a tough test.

“We know how difficult the match will be, but we also know our strengths and we’re going to go for it,” he added.

“[Yamal and Raphinha] are game-changers in one-on-one situations, but we have to focus on our own game, our work, and how to counter them.

“It’s very difficult, but not impossible. With hard work, giving 100% until we have nothing left, and believing in what the manager asks of us, we can put up a fight. We have to leave everything on the field, and if we lose, we’ll shake hands and leave with our heads held high.”

Barcelona head into the match after defeat to Real Sociedad last time out in La Liga. The result means their lead at the top of the table has been trimmed to one point and Flick will be eager to see his side get back on track against Real Oviedo.
