If all the Bengals’ draft picks could contribute as much, they’d be in better shape.
The Cincinnati Bengals were kept out of the playoffs for the third consecutive season, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t the occasional nugget of good news. According to James Rapien, four Bengals players will be getting nice bonuses thanks to their performance and the percentage of plays they find themselves on the field.
Those four players are running back Chase Brown, cornerback DJ Turner, wide receiver Andrei Iosivas, and safety Jordan Battle.
Brown and Turner both emerged as top players at their respective positions in 2026. Brown carried the ball for over 1,000 yards and contributed over 400 receiving yards as well, while Turner was the sixth-highest-graded cornerback in coverage among corners who played at least 50% of the snaps. Each of them will get a $3.6 million raise.
Battle and Iosivas also qualified for the Level-One Proven Performance Escalators (PPE) based on the percentage of snaps they’ve played and the round they were selected in the draft. Players selected in the third through seventh rounds can qualify for level one if they play at least 35% of the team’s snaps through the first three years of their contract. Battle started every game in 2025, and Iosivas played in roughly 70% of the team’s offensive snaps.
All four players are entering contract years, and none of them is eligible for a fifth-year option. The Bengals surely want to keep most, if not all, in stripes, but they may find that impossible if all four continue to improve.
