Duke Legend Bobby Hurley Struggling With His Arizona State Team

Bobby Hurley is not doing well at Arizona State.

The Duke legend has definitely had his moments at ASU but things have not gone very well lately. After a loss to West Virginia, Hurley was more honest than most coaches are even after they are out of a job. Hurley surely didn’t hold back, saying that he was having trouble getting through to his team.

Here’s part of what he said: “The light in the tunnel, it’s hard to see a lot of light.

“I love the group, though. This group is far different than some other teams that I’ve had that, at times, might have made me sick to my stomach..I’m failing. I can’t get through to the team.”

The thing is, for whatever reason, Arizona State is a really difficult job, and once Arizona became a national power, it got worse.

Look who has bombed there: Bob Weinhauer, Steve Patterson, Bill Frieder and Herb Sendek, among others. For whatever reason, it’s just a very tough place to succeed.

We would hate to see it, but Hurley could be the next.
