The New England Patriots are upping their record for Super Bowl appearances to 12. The AFC East champions defeated the AFC West champ Denver Broncos, 10-7, in a snowstorm Sunday at Mile High. The victory gives coach Mike Vrabel a chance to become the first coach to win a Super Bowl as a coach for the team he won NFL championships with as a player. Second-year quarterback Drake Maye will be the second-youngest quarterback to start in a Super Bowl. The youngest is Dan Marino, who was 23 years and 127 days old when the Miami Dolphis lost to the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XIX.
