The London is Blue podcast spoke about Cole Palmer and his current situation in their review of yesterday’s game.
The attacker has had a long period struggling with form and fitness, but bagged three goals in the first half against Wolves on Saturday to put a smile back on his own face. The pod were full of praise.
You can see him speaking in the clip embedded here:
Chelsea need Palmer back to his best and scoring for fun

“I get the penalties [as mitigation], I get it, whatever. But the final finish is perfect. No goalkeeper in the world is stopping that. Cole Palmer is the first player in Premier League history to score a hattrick in one half, three times,” presenter Nick Verlaney said.
“This is assuming he’s able to get back to any standard level of fitness. When he’s going, he is unstoppable. We’ve missed this guy doing what he does best, which is put the ball in the back of the net as often as humanly possible, and looking good while doing it.”
We certainly have. Despite the protestations of our last few managers, we have been a very Palmer dependent team – how could you not be, when he’s this good? The best solution would have been to learn to play without him. The second best solution is just to hope he returns to save us…
In other news…
Two Chelsea players made it into the WhoScored team of the week this week, you can probably guess one of them – but what about the other?
Pedro Neto remains under fire from Chelsea fans, despite the fact you can point to his involvement in all three goals against Wolves at the weekend. Where do you stand on his form right now?
