Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles recently shared several Instagram photos from her latest getaway. The pictures showed her soaking in beautiful views, wearing stylish outfits and smiling with friends.
“Where to next? Taking suggestions 👀,” she asked followers in her caption.
Tennis legend Serena Williams quickly jumped in with a teasing comment.Â
“Ugh go home lol and stop leaving me behind,” she wrote.
Simone Biles’ Travels Have Fans Watching
Biles has been on a whirlwind of trips since stepping away from competition after her gold medal run at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She has posted from the British Virgin Islands, the United Kingdom, Las Vegas and other scenic spots.
Her vacation posts, from polka-dot swimsuits to yacht deck moments, have kept her Instagram buzzing. One earlier post even had Williams reacting with a simple “Ughhh,” showing the tennis great has been following along closely.
Before her latest trip, Biles also joined her husband and NFL player Jonathan Owens, at the Chicago Bears Family Fest, where the couple was spotted enjoying time on the sidelines.
The playful back-and-forth isn’t new. Biles and Williams have built a friendship rooted in mutual admiration. Both have been honored in TIME magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and both have used their platforms to inspire young athletes and speak openly about mental health.
Earlier this year, Serena Williams tagged Biles in a vacation video captioned “Jealous?” to which Biles replied, “Girllllllllllll yes… just you wait.”Â
They’ve also been seen together at major events like the Met Gala and the TIME 100 Gala.
During Biles’ Gold Over America Tour in 2024, she even took time to meet Williams’ daughter, Olympia
Simone Biles’ Career Pause
While Biles is traveling and enjoying her offseason, the US gymnastics scene is preparing for a rare moment: a national championship without her. Biles won every US All-Around title she competed in since 2013, except for gaps in years she didn’t compete. Now, with her future plans uncertain, 2025 is the year for a new champion to emerge.
This week’s US Gymnastics Championships in New Orleans will crown a fresh winner in the women’s division. Rising stars like Jayla Hang, Claire Pease and Hezly Rivera are among the favorites, according to Forbes.
Even without competing, Biles continues to make headlines. She recently won two top honors at the 2025 ESPY Awards: Best Athlete, Women’s Sports and Best Championship Performance. These add to her already historic career, which includes 11 Olympic medals — the most ever for a US gymnast.
For Williams, her own post-tennis career is just as busy, filled with business ventures, fashion projects and family life. But moments like this, a friendly poke at a friend’s vacation spree, show that even legends enjoy a little lighthearted banter.
