Aston Villa continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome on Saturday.
Unai Emery’s side have had some mixed results in their recent warm-up games, including a 4-0 victory over Roma, while Marseille go into the match unbeaten in five pre-season fixtures.
With both teams integrating new signings and assessing their squad depth ahead of their respective 2025–26 domestic campaigns, this match offers a final tune-up before Villa‘s Premier League opener at home to Newcastle on August 16, while Marseille begin Ligue 1 away to Rennes a day beforehand.
