WNBA superstar A’ja Wilson celebrated her 29th birthday in style Friday night and not just on the court. Before the Las Vegas Aces’ 90-86 win over the Seattle Storm, Wilson arrived in a daring black leather outfit.

The Aces’ official Instagram account posted a photo of Wilson walking into the arena. Wilson’s pregame look featured a sleeveless cropped leather top with structured straps, paired with a high-waisted, asymmetrical skirt that had a bold thigh-high slit.

She completed the outfit with tall black leather boots, a matching handbag, a bracelet and sleek glasses, combining athletic confidence with high-fashion edge.

Fans showered her with admiration, sending birthday wishes while praising her striking look.

“The ABS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” one fan wrote.

“Happy birthday Queen you definitely Slayed, now you better take it all the way,” another added.

“🔥🔥🔥🔥 birthday fit on point 😎,” a comment read.

“Yesss and come thru abs! 💁🏽‍♀️,” one supporter wrote.

“I just called the 🔥 fire department on you,” joked another.

“Stunning woman 🫶🏽🖤🌹✨,” another fan added.

The moment was a reminder of Wilson’s growing influence beyond basketball. Known for turning the tunnel into her own runway, she’s had other viral fashion moments this season, from a zebra-print power suit in June to her retro Comets jersey look that sparked a lighthearted text from her mom in July.

A’ja Wilson’s Dominant Birthday Performance

The outfit may have made headlines, but Wilson made sure her performance matched the hype. She scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, powering the Aces to their third straight win and fifth in their last six games.

Teammate Jackie Young added 26 points, including a clutch three-pointer with 51 seconds left to seal the victory.

Las Vegas built a 19-point lead in the third quarter before Seattle rallied, tying the game at 75 with just over five minutes remaining. But Young’s scoring burst and Wilson’s steady presence kept the Aces ahead. Chelsea Gray contributed 13 points, while NaLyssa Smith added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

For Seattle, rookie Dominique Malonga posted season highs with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Erica Wheeler scored 16, Gabby Williams had 14 and Nneka Ogwumike added 12 points and nine rebounds.

A’ja Wilson’s Career Continues to Soar

This latest win is another chapter in what has been a milestone-filled year for Wilson. Just days ago, the University of South Carolina announced she will be inducted into its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring her legendary college career that included a national championship, three SEC Player of the Year awards and the retirement of her No. 22 jersey.

Since being drafted No. 1 overall in 2018, Wilson has transformed the Aces into a championship team, winning back-to-back WNBA titles in 2022 and 2023. She’s already a three-time league MVP, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

On her birthday, Wilson gave fans a double treat: a runway-worthy entrance and an MVP-caliber performance that helped her team keep climbing in the playoff race.
