5 Buffalo Bills players to watch for during preseason Week 2 vs. the Chicago Bears

Watch these players during the Bills vs. Bears.

The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for their second preseason contest in 2025 against the Chicago Bears.

While boundaries are being drawn ahead of Sunday's game, the affair is going to give insight into both rosters heading into the upcoming season.

With that, here are Bills Wire's five players to watch for during the Bills' preseason matchup with the Bears:

QB Mike White

White and Mitch Trubisky both had similar outings in Buffalo's first preseason game. As the battle for the QB2 spot unfolds, it's time to watch White.

WR Tyrell Shavers

Shavers has looked good. Simple as that. If he keeps it up? He's the Bills' sixrth receiver.

RB James Cook

Cook's holdout is over. What would put that fully in the past? Even just one big play from him, even if he only plays a few snaps.

LB Joe Andreessen

Andreessen is squarely in the driver's seat to be the Bills' backup middle linebacker. Once just a fun hometown story... Buffalo's boy is in line for a spot that could see serious playing time. Taking off our "objective write hat" at Bills Wire... that is amazing.

S Damar Hamlin

Head coach Sean McDermott was critical of Cole Bishop. That could pave the way for Hamlin to start at safety with a good showing.
