Looks like Angel Reese is itching to play.
"It's Personal:" Angel Reese Jokes About Being Pissed at Former Teammate originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Angel Reese missed her sixth straight game due to her back injury, but while she's out and not with the Chicago Sky in their showdown against the Connecticut Sun, she was still tuned in to Wednesday's showdown.
In fact, Reese couldn't help but comment while the game was going on. Aside from reacting to the ejections during the heated matchup, the Sky star also had some jokes about a former teammate playing in the contest.
It's Personal for Angel Reese
Aside from watching her team's performance, Reese also kept an eye on Connecticut Sun forward Aneesah Morrow. The 22-year-old rookie, who was selected seventh overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft, was teammates with Reese at LSU from 2023 to 2024.
Morrow showed her dominance on the glass to start the game, grabbing five rebounds in the first quarter alone. Reese then joked that Morrow was rebounding "hard" because she was not there.
"bro watching nees rn lowkey (jokingly) pissing me off," Reese wrote, along with a crying emoji. "Cause why are you rebounding that hard rn like it’s personal knowing i’m not there."

Morrow ended up recording nine points, nine rebounds and three blocks in the game. To make matters worse for Reese, she had to witness the Sky lose again, 71-62.
Will the Sky Shut Down Reese for the Season?
Reese's jokes aside, it's understandable why she's feeling frustrated about not being with the team.
Wednesday's defeat marked the Sky's third straight loss and fifth in their last six games without Reese. In their last 16 outings, the team has only won three times.
With that said, it's looking more and more unlikely that the Sky can turn their season around and actually compete for the playoffs.
It remains to be seen when Reese will return from her injury, but there have been calls from fans to shut her down for the season, with the campaign seemingly lost. Sky head coach Tyler Marsh, however, refused to answer whether they will make that decision or not.
"I'd leave that to the medical staff," Marsh said when asked about potentially letting Reese sit for the remainder of the season.
"For us and for Angel if she's healthy, and she wants to play, and we want her to be out there, to be able to play. We don't want to put her in harm's way to further any existing injuries. For us, it's just making sure that she's as healthy as possible. That's always been the most important thing. With the games remaining, when she's ready to go, then she will be out there."
