Caitlin Clark announced on social media that she is praying for her longtime boyfriend's family.
The Indiana Fever star has been dating her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, for more than two years. The couple first started dated while they were attending the University of Iowa at the same time. Caitlin, of course, starred for the women's basketball team. Connor, meanwhile, played for his dad, Fran McCaffery, on the men's team.
The couple has been through a lot together, with Caitlin going No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, to making two All-Star Games, to Connor starting his coaching career. The son of the longtime men's college basketball coach is currently an assistant coach at Butler University in Indianapolis.
Connor and his family recently experienced a difficult loss.

He is "refusing" to say goodbye.
"I’ve been trying to think of what to say and I can’t. It’s impossible to put into words how much you meant to our entire family. I refuse to say goodbye, so until we meet again ❤️❤️❤️🕊️🕊️🕊️," he wrote on social media.

They celebrated their two-year anniversary on April 24, 2025.
