How does Tyreek Hill's injury impact Dolphins WR depth chart?

Who steps in for Hill?

How does Tyreek Hill's injury impact Dolphins WR depth chart? originally appeared on The Sporting News

The Miami Dolphins were dealt a cruel blow in the third quarter of their contest against the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium as Tyreek Hill suffered a horrible injury.

On the broadcast, it looked like a lower leg/ankle injury, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X that Hill suffered a dislocated knee and that this sort of injury often comes with ligament tears.

So many expect Hill to be out for a while, and the receiver depth chart will now take an interesting turn, as to who will step up for Hill?

The most obvious one is Jaylen Waddle, who some see as a No. 1 receiver anyway, but behind him? It will be up to Malik Washington, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and D'Wayne Eskridge to carry the offensive load.

We don't think the Dolphins will look for a receiver in the open market, given they aren't contenders, so others will have to step up.

What happened to Tyreek Hill?

Facing a third-and-eight in the third quarter, Tua Tagovailoa hit Hill for a 10-yard gain, but Hill's legs got trapped underneath him as the defender made the tackle, with his ankle pointing in a different direction afterwards due to the dislocated knee.

So, we think Hill will be set for a long stint on the sidelines, and his season might be over, which is just bad luck for a Dolphins team struggling to keep their season alive.

Now, that becomes even tougher, but at least the offense still has Waddle, so there will be production from the passing game, but who helps Waddle? That is the biggest question that the Dolphins coaching staff will be asking themselves moving forward.
