This isn't ideal.
The last 16 Browns QBs to make their first career start all lost originally appeared on The Sporting News
The omen isn't good for Dillon Gabriel.
The lefty is making his first career start for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in London against the Minnesota Vikings.
And things haven't gone well for the Browns in this scenario.
The last 16 quarterbacks to have made their first career start in the NFL and done it while wearing a Browns uniform have all lost.
This dates all the way back to Tim Couch, the No. 1 overall pick in 1999 who was the Browns' first starting quarterback after Cleveland got its NFL team back.

So it's the previous era of the Browns, and Eric Zeier's first career start, that has the last win in this scenario.
The guys to lose in this setup since then:
- Tim Couch
- Spergon Wynn
- Luke McCown
- Charlie Frye
- Derek Anderson
- Brady Quinn
- Colt McCoy
- Brandon Weeden
- Thaddeus Lewis
- Johnny Manziel
- Connor Shaw
- Cody Kessler
- DeShone Kizer
- Kevin Hogan
- Baker Mayfield
- Dorian Thompson-Robinson

A couple of these games were exciting.
Mayfield, for example, lost 45-42 to the Oakland Raiders in overtime.
Kessler also went to OT before falling to the Dolphins, and Quinn lost a tight 34-30 clash with the Broncos.
But there was some ugly, too.
Wynn lost 48-0 to the Jaguars. Manziel lost 30-0 to the Bengals. DTR lost 28-3 to the Ravens.
The Browns will be hoping Gabriel is the one who can finally fix this trend.
