Trinity, CAL, KCD lead respective classes of Kentucky high school football rankings

All six teams kept their No. 1 spots in this week's edition of the Kentucky High School Football Media Poll, including Trinity, CAL and KCD.

All six No. 1 teams in the Kentucky High School Football Media Poll stayed on top of their respective classes in this week’s balloting.

Trinity (Class 6A), Scott County (5A), Boyle County (4A), Christian Academy (3A), Beechwood (2A) and Kentucky Country Day (A) lead the way with four weeks remaining in the regular season.

The closest race is in Class 5A, where one point separates No. 1 Scott County and No. 2 Woodford County and five teams received at least one first-place vote.

Christian Academy, which has a state-best 14-game winning streak, is the only unanimous No. 1 squad.

The Kentucky High School Football Media Poll is conducted by 16 sports journalists throughout the state, with one representative for each of the 16 regions in order to provide geographical balance. The poll will be released online each Wednesday morning throughout the regular season.

Here are the complete polls. First-place votes are in parentheses.
