WWE NXT star Je’Von Evans recently reflected on sharing the ring with veteran star Randy Orton.
Je’Von is one of the rising young stars in WWE. In a short span of time, Evans has impressed everyone with his in-ring skills. Recently, he made his presence felt on the SmackDown brand, answering Sami Zayn’s US title open challenge.
Back in 2024, Evans locked horns with Randy Orton in a match on NXT. The match took place in Orton’s hometown of St. Louis. Despite a valiant effort from Evans, the Apex Predator connected an RKO to secure the victory.
Despite the loss, Je’Von Evans marked this as a great experience. Speaking on a recent episode of Notsam Wrestling Live, Evans shared that since the match, he’s stayed in touch with Randy Orton and gets advice from him whenever he wants.
“I ain’t gonna lie my boy, I was nervous. Come on now. I was shaking in my boots,” Je’Von Evans admitted. “It was such a great learning experience, bro. A great opportunity. It was something that I wasn’t expecting, or at least this early in my career… I get butterflies thinking about it, and it’s been happened, but I still get butterflies about the match.
“But, it was such a great experience, and now I’m able to connect with Randy, and get advice and text him and call him whenever I want to. It’s great. It’s a blessing for sure, and I think that match helped me develop who Je’Von Evans is.” [H/T: Fightful]
