Rylei Gray and Matt Pownall powered the Knights to a big win over CB West in SOL National Conference play.
LANSDALE — Rylei Gray and Matt Pownall combined for 257 rushing yards and two touchdowns to power North Penn to a 31-13 win over Central Bucks West.
Gray, who threw a touchdown pass on a halfback option, led the way with 136 rushing yards.
The Bucks entered the game in a three-way tie for first place with Pennridge and Neshaminy in the Suburban One League National Conference with a 6-2 overall mark and a 4-1 record in conference play.
The Knights also entered Friday's home game at 6-2, but 3-2 in SOL National play.
As for the PIAA District One Class 6A power rankings, the Knights entered the game ranked third while the Bucks were fourth. The 16-team district tournament begins on Oct. 31.
In their regular season meeting last year, the Bucks edged the Knights 17-14.

The Bucks travel to archrival CB East on Oct. 24 (7 p.m.) in the regular-season finale for both teams.
