Paris Saint-Germain and RC Strasbourg Alsace played out the most entertaining encounter of the Ligue 1 campaign so far as the two teams shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller.

PSG raced into the lead thanks to Bradley Barcola, but Strasbourg came back into the game thanks to a bullet Joaquín Panichelli header. Diego Moreira then gave Le Racing the lead just before half-time, and upon the return from the dressing room, Panichelli doubled his account and RCSA’s advantage.

However, Luis Enrique’s side, a youthful side with multiple big-name absentees, came back. Goncalo Ramos netted a penalty and Senny Mayulu then scored a late equaliser as the game ended 3-3. In a post-match press conference attended by Get French Football News, Luis Enrique was full of praise for his opponent.

PSG manager expects that ‘coming months will be the most demanding’

“Are Strasbourg the best Ligue 1 side that I have seen visit the Parc des Princes? I think so, yes. I like the way that they play. They are one of the best teams in Ligue 1. We knew that it would be difficult, but we prioritised player management after the international break,” said Luis Enrique.

He added, “Will there be more competition in Ligue 1 this season? We will see in time. It is a special moment with lots of specific circumstances. We are trying to be competitive in all competitions, and we know that the coming months will be the most demanding.”
