Nottingham Forest have officially parted ways with manager Ange Postecoglou following the club's 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
The 60-year-old was only in charge of eight fixtures during his time with the club, having been hired in early September.
In a short statement posted 19 minutes after the match concluded, Forest confirmed the decision arrived following "a series of disappointing results and performances."
Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.

The Club will make no further comment at this time.
Before the clash against Chelsea, the manager had won none of his matches in charge, now bowing out with a record of six losses and two draws.Â
Such performances are a stark contrast to his previous spells as manager of Celtic and Tottenham. In Scotland, Postecoglou won a domestic double and then a treble before helping Spurs win their first major trophy in 17 years last season.

Additionally, it means the recent decision to sack Postecoglou is now Premier League history. He officially holds the shortest managerial reign for any permanent boss in the league at just 39 days.
Forest, meanwhile, currently sit 17th in the Premier League table.
