La Liga have officially announced that the first El Clásico of the season between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will be played on Sunday, October 26th at 16:15pm CET. This Clásico will take place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid currently have a two-point lead over Barcelona in the table, although that situation could change with both teams having to play more than a handful of games ahead of El Clásico.
With both Real Madrid and Barcelona expected to compete closely for the 2025-26 La Liga title, this first Clásico could be a decisive one, although the two teams will meet at the Camp Nou in the second half of the season. Los Blancos have shown encouraging signs since Xabi Alonso took over, so it will be interesting to see if he can build an efficient game plan against Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, who appear to be somewhat vulnerable in transition.
