Real Madrid’s management of Endrick continues to be a subject of growing discussion, with fresh insights from journalist Mario Cortegana revealing how Xabi Alonso has been transparent with the young forward about his limited role this season.

According to what the journalist wrote in The Athletic, Alonso personally told Endrick that regular playing time would be difficult to guarantee given the competition in Madrid’s attack.

Despite that, the 19-year-old refused to seek a loan or transfer and decided to stay, prioritising his dream of succeeding at Real Madrid above all else.

January loan not ruled out

Endrick has yet to play a competitive match in nearly five months and his absence from recent Brazil national team call-ups has sparked further questions about his development.

Recent report notes that those close to the Brazilian forward remain patient for now but have set January as a key review point.

This is when they will assess whether a loan move might be necessary to ensure more playing time and boost his chances of making Brazil’s World Cup squad.

Freitas said the forward is “confident” he will be back playing soon, signalling that the player’s mindset remain strong despite his current situation.

What’s going on at Real Madrid?

Within Madrid, there is widespread recognition of Endrick’s maturity, work ethic, and natural talent – qualities that convinced the club to invest heavily in him.

People at the club describe him as a model professional who approaches every training session with focus and humility.

Alonso, meanwhile, is keen to integrate him gradually before being exposed to the pressure of consistent first-team football.

For now, Endrick is spending the international break in Madrid rather than with the Brazil squad.

Sources close to him claim that Carlo Ancelotti still holds affection for the young forward and maintains contact.

The belief among those around Endrick is that his persistence and professionalism will eventually pay off, leading him back into the Brazil national team setup before next year’s World Cup.
