Former Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan has been blessed with an early Christmas present - a baby girl.
The two-time Olympic medalist, 45, announced that she welcomed her second child, Della Rose Kwan, in a sweet post on social media on Thursday, Dec. 11.
"I’ve always dreamt of having children, and when Kalista came into the world, I was already beyond grateful for a miracle that once felt impossible after years of trying," Kwan captioned the Instagram post.
"Getting here again has been its own rollercoaster, and I’m endlessly thankful for my love, who I’m so lucky to share my life with, my family, who I would not be here without, and the incredible doctors and support team who helped make this miracle happen. After more than a decade of hoping, I still can’t quite believe this moment is real."
After winning a silver medal in the 1998 Olympics and Bronze medal and 2002, the five-time world champion said she pushed her body "to its limits" as a pro athlete and is amazed that she was able to carry a second baby after struggling with infertility for years.
